On June 7, 2025, precisely at 21:00, a large-scale medical campaign was launched in Tbilisi, organized by the dermatology clinic “Microderma.” The event lasted exactly 24 hours and concluded with the setting of a world record.
The central figure of the event was dermatologist Dr. Jansug Verulashvili, who performed computer diagnostics of moles for 363 individuals within 24 hours, aimed at melanoma prevention. The screening process ran non-stop and was supported by a coordinated medical team. The clinic’s staff, led by medical advisor Dr. Giorgi Arveladze, played an active role throughout the initiative.
As part of the project, all participants received the examination completely free of charge. In addition, each participant was awarded a certificate of participation in the world record, making the experience even more memorable. All certificates have already been entered into the official database of Georgian Records Federation and can be verified online.
Notably, this marks the first Georgian record in the medical field, making the initiative even more unique. Most importantly, the screening led to the early detection of skin cancer in 3 patients, which can confidently be considered as the saving of three lives through timely diagnosis.
The entire record-setting process was overseen by the adjudicators of the Georgian Records Federation, who officially registered the record on-site. The Federation congratulates “Microderma” clinic and its team on their achievement, noting that this record is not only a quantitative milestone but also a remarkable example of medical progress, innovation, social responsibility, and human care.
